Diamond Rating

Diamond Rating is a composite player evaluation metric published on NBAstuffer that synthesizes multiple advanced metrics into a single score. It uses a weighted combination of per-possession metrics and efficiency measures.

Attempts to synthesize multiple signals into a readable composite.

Proprietary weighting methodology with limited public documentation. Not peer-reviewed or academically validated. Less analytically rigorous than RAPM-family estimators.

Not used in APEX. Diamond Rating is a third-party composite that would introduce non-transparent methodology into a model whose core design principle is fully published, reproducible weights. APEX uses metrics with publicly documented methodologies or strong academic grounding.
