What It Is
DK FPTS is a composite score derived from a player's statistical performance, weighted according to DraftKings' daily fantasy sports scoring system. Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and turnovers are each assigned specific point values.
APEX Rationale
Not used in APEX. Fantasy scoring systems are explicitly designed for entertainment and wagering purposes, not for measuring basketball performance or player value. The weights are set to create interesting fantasy competition, not to reflect the relative contribution of each stat to winning basketball. There is no academic or analytical grounding for using fantasy points as a performance metric.
