Individual Floor Percentage

Individual Floor Percentage measures the fraction of a player's individual offensive possessions (shots, free throws, assists) that result in at least one point scored. It attempts to measure how often a player "finishes" possessions positively.

Floor% = (0.5 × AST + FGM) ÷ (Total Player Possessions)

Provides a possession-level efficiency view that accounts for playmaking alongside shooting.

Does not adjust for shot difficulty, assist quality, or opponent quality. Limited to offensive possessions only. Largely superseded by TS%, AST%, and modern RAPM-family metrics which capture these dimensions with more precision.

Not used in APEX. TS% and AST% together capture the relevant efficiency and creation signals more reliably. Floor Percentage is a legacy metric from the early possession-tracking era.
