Offensive Rating
What It Is
Offensive Rating measures points scored per 100 possessions. At the team level, it is one of the Four Factors identified by Dean Oliver. At the individual level, it estimates a player's points produced per 100 individual possessions.
How It Works
ORtg = 100 × Points Produced ÷ Total Possessions Used
APEX Rationale
Not scored directly in APEX. Individual offensive rating inputs are captured through TS%, TS+, and the RAPM-family Impact pillar metrics, which subsume the efficiency information in a more complete framework. DefOnOff (used heavily in APEX's Defense pillar) is constructed from the differential between on/off ratings.
