Naming history

  • Conseco Fieldhouse 1999-11–2011-11
Original 20-year naming deal with Indianapolis-based Conseco (insurance). Conseco filed for bankruptcy in 2002 but the venue retained the name post-restructuring.
  • Bankers Life Fieldhouse 2011-11–2021-11
Conseco rebranded its parent company as CNO Financial; the venue was renamed to Bankers Life (a CNO insurance subsidiary).
  • Gainbridge Fieldhouse 2021-11–present
Group 1001 (insurance holding) bought naming rights and used its Gainbridge brand — a clean break from the Conseco/CNO lineage.

Renovations

  • 2020–2022 $360M
$360M state-funded "Fieldhouse of the Future" renovation. New entry pavilion, expanded concourses, new clubs and bunker suites, full IT/AV overhaul. Funded primarily through expanded sales-tax authority granted by Indiana legislature.
