What It Is
Points Per Shot Attempt divides a player's total points by their total field goal attempts. Unlike TS%, it does not account for free throws as a scoring source.
APEX Rationale
Not used in APEX. TS% is strictly superior — it includes free throw scoring, which is a meaningful efficiency source for players who draw fouls. PTS/FGA would systematically undervalue players like Giannis Antetokounmpo who score heavily via free throws.
