Naming history

  • Ford Center 2002-06–2010-07
Original 8-year naming deal with Ford Motor Company; a notable choice given Oklahoma City's lack of a Ford manufacturing presence.
  • Chesapeake Energy Arena 2011-07–2020-07
Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy signed a 12-year, ~$36M deal in 2011. Chesapeake filed for bankruptcy in June 2020; the deal was terminated.
  • Paycom Center 2021-08–present
Paycom (Oklahoma City-based payroll software) signed a 15-year deal in 2021, restoring an Oklahoma anchor after the Chesapeake collapse.

Renovations

  • 2024–2026 $325M
Phased $325M renovation funded via the city's MAPS 4 sales-tax program. New scoreboard, expanded concourses, and structural upgrades to extend the building's service life pending the city's decision on a new arena.
