What It Is
Non-Scoring Player Possessions tracks the number of possessions a player uses that do not directly result in scoring — drawing fouls that don't result in made free throws, setting screens, running off-ball cuts, and other non-box-score contributions.
APEX Rationale
Not used in APEX as a standalone metric. The off-ball contributions it attempts to capture are partially reflected in RAPM-family metrics through team outcome attribution, but not separately scored. A component of Total Player Possessions.
